Today's Date: Wednesday, August 20, 2008 Article Posted: Thursday, October 12, 2006 Construction at MA Facilities Under Way 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | Next On Monday through Wednesday (October 9-11), the Missions Alive staff put a good deal of muscle into their latest project: emptying a modular facility that housed five offices, a reception area, a kitchenette, and restroom facilities. Plans are underway to build larger facilities where the prefabricated modular building stood. The additional space was needed to carry out the slate of current video projects. However, before construction could begin, a modular, which was attached to the current facilities, first needed to be emptied and moved. In response to the modular's listing on Ebay, an individual agreed to remove the modular to a different location. In preparation for moving the unit, the Missions Alive staff spent the better part of three days moving office furniture and equipment. All of the offices were moved into a pole barn, which formerly housed a recording studio and board room. Until the new facilities can be built, the staff will be sharing some pretty tight office quarters. When asked about how he is adjusting to his new, temporary office, Fred Jean, Missions Alive's General Manager, said, "It's small; but it's home." |
